1.Rubbing hair dry with a towel.
This is a mistake many of us make.
Drying our hair with a towel with force is actually more damaging than we think.
Rubbing hair with a towel increases overall frizz and damage. Hair is weaker when wet than when dry and is more prone to split ends and hair breakage.
76 Tip: If you have time, allow your hair to dry naturally. Alternatively, dab your hair with a towel or squeeze out the moisture.
2. Brushing your hair when it’s wet
Every time you wash your hair, it gets tangled and you want to brush it right out. However, when hair is damp, it becomes weaker and more prone to breakage.
76 Tip: Can not keep your hair tangle-free after rinsing, but it is possible to minimize it. Brushing your hair before getting into the shower will make it silky and easier to comb through after washing.
3.Lathering only short second
We busy people are quick in almost everything we do. That extends to the time we spend shampooing. We all have experienced that after pouring shampoo on our heads, it takes only a few seconds to rinse it off.
Short lathering time is like quickly wiping dirty dishes. A short lathering time is like quickly wiping a dirty dish.
76 Tip: Shampooing for 30 seconds to a minute is always sufficient. Rinse away dirt and keep your hair healthy.
4. Washing your hair with hot water
Before washing your hair, make sure the water is not too hot.
A hot shower can relieve muscle tension and pain, but avoid extreme temperatures when washing your hair. Too much heat will cause the hair cuticle to open, drying it out and making it more prone to breakage. Insufficient moisture also makes hair more prone to frizz.
76 Tip: Use not too hot water. Lukewarm water is just the right temperature to dissolve dirt from your hair, open the cuticle, and allow shampoo ingredients to penetrate.
5. Washing hair immediately you take shower
Most people shampoo immediately after taking a shower, but this is actually not the best method. Shampoo does not work effectively when your hair is only half wet. This means that it will not lather well.
76 Tip: Make sure to run the shower over your head for at least 30 seconds before reaching for the bottle. Doing so will remove any residue from your scalp and prep it for shampooing.
