1.Scratching your scalp with your fingernails
After spending all day outside in the heat, it is common to come home to an itchy scalp. Therefore, after taking a shower, we tend to scrub our scalp with our fingernails.
2.Putting conditioner directly to the scalp
The scalp constantly produces sebum. Applying conditioner on top of it will inhibit the production of the necessary sebum and consequently worsen the situation of the scalp.
76 Tip. Conditioner should only be applied to the ends and the middle part of the hair. These areas tend to be dry and therefore need an extra shot of moisture.
3.Using shampoo only once
In fact, most people only need one rinse. In hot, sweaty countries, there is a lot of sebum and sweat on the scalp. Therefore, there is a lot of dirt and product residue on the scalp, which requires another wash to completely clean the hair.
76 Tip. When washing twice, focus on the scalp and lather to remove as much dirt as possible.
4.Skipping sunscreen.
Your scalp gets sunburned just like your skin. Wear a hat to protect your scalp during long outdoor activities.
